ASEND LAUNCHING: CAREER ORIENTATION AS A GEAR UP TO NATION BUILDING

Image
In times like now wh en things are monotonous, sceptic and schematic the purpose of career orientation becomes a very important topic to be discussed as a community. It is for this reason that the Association of Engineering and Medical Students, ASEND  has decided to take out time to organize a special career orientation program to play an important role in curriculum that supports:  1. Students' strengths, interests and aspiration 2. Students achievements 3. Students risk of poor outcomes 4. Students making informed decisions about their subject choice and pathways.     More importantly, this program will go a long way to support students to access decent work, and education or training opportunities that will provide access to a source of income, social contact, purposeful activity, and some healthy challenges, the reason we choose to start our preparatory classes with the program so as to expose the ideal student to a world of variety and opportunities and expectations.
